Ford PATS Key Programming
Ford's PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) only lets the engine run with a key it knows. Try an unknown key, lose your keys or have a module replaced, and the theft light comes on and the car cranks but won't start, or won't crank at all. We do Ford PATS key programming at your car in Dallas–Fort Worth or Greater Orlando for Ford and Lincoln cars, trucks and SUVs: chip keys, remote keys, flip keys and push-to-start smart keys, spares and all keys lost. We check ID and title or registration before every key.
How the job goes
- 01
Text the year and model or a photo of your key, and we confirm the price by text.
- 02
At the car we check your ID and title or registration, then cut the blade if needed.
- 03
We connect professional programming equipment and add the new key to the PATS memory.
- 04
We test the start, the remote buttons and the theft light, and make sure every key you keep still works.

Questions
Why is the theft light flashing on my Ford?
If the theft light stays on or flashes fast when you try to start, PATS usually doesn't recognize the key: an unprogrammed or damaged key, a key the car has forgotten, or a fault in the reader. We diagnose it and program the key at your car.
Can you program a Ford key if I lost all my keys?
In most cases, yes. We cut the blade from the lock or by code and program the new key with professional equipment at your car. Have your ID and title or registration ready — we only make keys for the owner.
Can I program a Ford key myself with two keys?
Many Ford models let you add a key yourself if you already have two working programmed keys. With one key or none, the car needs programming equipment. Text us the model and we tell you which one applies.
Do you program Lincoln push-to-start keys?
Yes. We program push-to-start smart keys for Ford and Lincoln models at your car, on many models even when every key is lost. Send the year and model and we confirm the price by text before we drive out.
