Car Key Replacement, Done at Your Car
Lost a key, broke one, or down to your last one? Legacy Keys is a mobile automotive locksmith: we drive to your car at home, at work or on the side of the road, cut the new key and program it on site. Traditional metal keys, laser-cut keys, transponder chip keys, remote-head keys and push-to-start smart keys, for most makes and models. You get the price by text before we drive out, and it often saves you a tow and a dealer appointment. We serve Dallas–Fort Worth and Greater Orlando, in English and Spanish.

Questions
How much does car key replacement cost?
It depends on the key type and the car. Text us the year, make and model (and a photo of the key if you can) and we send you the price before we drive out. A plain metal key costs far less than a push-to-start smart key.
Can a locksmith replace a car key without the original?
Yes. We can make a new key from the VIN or by reading the lock, then program it to the car. We check your photo ID and the title or registration first, because we only make keys for the owner.
Is a car locksmith cheaper than the dealer?
It depends on the car, so we text you our price and you can compare. With us there is often no tow and no dealer appointment, because we cut and program the key where the car is parked.
Do you make keys for all makes and models?
For most of them. We work on domestic, Asian and European cars, pickups and SUVs. A few late-model cars can only get keys from the dealer, and when that is the case we tell you before we drive out.
